Dear family, friends, and acquaintances of Darlene,
On Wednesday, May 13th, Darlene D Syers finished her earthly journey. She enjoyed a number of good days in the last weeks with family and friends. After all these goodbyes, she was ready for the eternal "hello".
Even as we grieve Darlene's passing, we meditate with her. She read her Meditations almost every day and loved these words,
"Oh, how I love your law!
I meditate on it all day long. (Psalm 119:97)
Darlene has learned what we'll all discover: that the world might be full of words, but God's words endure. His words are words that are worth listening to. His words are words that will change the world. And as we grieve Darlene's passing, we've got the encouragment that these words meant everything to her.
Here a couple of highlights from Darlene's life with God.
Darelene was baptized on January 17, 1932 at St John's Lutheran in Allegan and confirmed on July 25, 1946. She was a founding member of Peace, and as best as I've heard, was the last remaining founding member. Darlene loved to serve and help at Peace over the years in a number of ways. She was especially active in the kitchen and with events.
